HJ4154 SNCF, 3-unit set of RIO 82 PACA II coaches, period V

The 25 segments of 3 RIO type trailers ordered by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and delivered since 1982, have a neater layout than previous RIB trailers with individual seats in 2 + 2.

With dual-current diesel type, the RIO PACAs are capable of traveling at 140 km / h with their Y34 boogies. They are used on the Marseille-Avignon, Marseille-Aix routes and on the entire line from Marseille to Ventimiglia.

Since 2009, 14 segments have been modernized with the installation of air conditioning and the elimination of central platforms. All RIO PACAs were reformed in 2015/2016 with the arrival of more modern TER material in the region.
