The meaning of the characteristic letters of the Habis wagon is "H" for a special type covered wagon, "a" for bogie wagon, "b" for loading length of 18 meters and more, "i" for sliding walls and "s »For maximum speed of 100km / h.

Habis wagons can load up to 46 standard pallets (1200 x 800 mm) for a payload of 44 tonnes.

Since 1974, the Société des Eaux de Volvic (SEV) bottling plant has been located in Chaucet, along the line from Riom to Chatel-Guyon (Puy de Dôme). A significant part of the production of water bottles is shipped by rail to the warehouses or stores of customers connected to the rail. It is mainly covered wagons with sliding walls of the Habis type leased from EVS that are used for this traffic. SNCF and SEV celebrated the shipment of the 100,000th wagon from the Chaucet factory on April 21, 1986.
