HJ2621, CC 72056 “La Bourboule” in classic blue livery with the “Casquette” logo, also joins the lineup. This version will allow modellers to recreate the famous “Jules Verne” train when paired with the Jouef coaches from the packs HJ4205 and HJ4206HM, expected in October. The JOUEF models of baptised locomotives in particular are very popular as they invite to collect all the baptised models of a particular locomotive series. Although locomotives were baptised with city names in France as early as 1870, the SNCF only revived this tradition on 2 June 1973 with the baptism of the BB 15006 electric locomotive in Metz. Since then, over 600 rail vehicles have been decorated with the coats of arms and logos of local authorities, partly as aluminium plates and partly as adhesive foil, and thus act as rolling ambassadors for these cities. On 13 June 1976, CC 72056 was ceremoniously baptised by the SNCF with the name ‘La Bourboule’, a commune in the Puy-de-Dôme department in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in central France.
All new locomotives in the range (HJ2620, HJ2621 and HJ2622) will feature front and rear twin lights, a 21-pin DCC decoder socket, and a metal chassis with a detailed plastic body.
