The Vossloh DE 18 is the modern European standard for heavy shunting and mainline freight. As the French launch customer, Europorte now operates around 30 units (including leased locos), forming the backbone of their versatile fleet.
Dressed in a striking silver, blue, and yellow livery, these multi-purpose machines bridge the gap between the "last mile" and the main line. They are frequently used for automotive feeder services, making the new Jouef model HJ2471/S the perfect match for our car transporter wagons (e.g., HJ6316).
With a powerful 300 kN starting tractive effort and certifications for France, Belgium, and Germany, these units haul heavy block trains—carrying cereals, chemicals, or vehicles—to North Sea ports and across the Rhine. Essential for any Era VI layout, our Jouef models feature digital couplers to provide authentic shunting realism and enhanced operational fun.
